Sixth Grade Update

Greetings from the Sixth Grade Teaching Team!

 Math homework for the week of Jan 16-19
                  Tuesday,  page 213, even and problem solving
                  Wednesday, page 215 evens and problem solving
                  Thursday 217 evens and problem solving
All students will get their Chapter Seven Test back on Tuesday.  Please ask to see it.  Students were allowed to use a calculator on the test. It was very clear to me who studied.

 Language and Spelling: Spelling Test Friday, Language and spelling homework throughout the week. All students need a spiral notebook for language and
spelling. Please ask your child if they have theirs.

 Social Studies Test is TUESDAY! Students turned in their vocabulary notebooks today. They will be starting a new sections and should work hard at keeping up with the words.

 Reading: Reading folder are starting to look worn. Please see if your child needs a new three pronged folder. The folder will be filled daily with assignments. It will be turned in Friday for a grade. Please ask to see it during the week.

 Science: Calendar and Journal due Tuesday. We are studying Physics in Motion.  Students have a study guide, daily calendar and a TEST on THURSDAY! They will be taking notes in class Science Fair participants have  their title and hypothesis due Tuesday.

Camp information came home this week. Payments are due by February 15. All money is paid to Mrs. Parks. The checks are made out to TVMS. The total cost of camp is $65. Scholarships are available, but Mrs. Parks must be contacted.
